Draw attention to the scenes where one of the protagonists is shown in his work as a worker in a workshop … very far from the glamor of the gay beauty contest. Also the family background: broken homes, dysfunctional families, lack of father figure etc etc. The scene of the protagonist cooking with his aunt-grandmother says a lot even without having to translate anything.
